  • Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), including left internal mammary artery (LIMA) harvest, endoscopic vein harvest (EVH) and open radial artery harvest
  • Standard or minimally invasive aortic and mitral valve repair and replacement (tissue or mechanical)
  • Minimally invasive endovascular removal of soft thrombi, emboli or vegetations from heart valves (AngioVac procedure)
  • Surgical atrial fibrillation treatments, including radiofrequency (RF) maze and cryoablation with concomitant open-heart surgery as well as a minimally invasive approach as part of a two-stage treatment called the convergent procedure
  • Left atrial appendage ligation or clip
  • Subpectoral placement of automatic implantable cardioverter defibrillators (AICDs) or permanent pacemakers (PPMs)

  • Wound vacuum-assisted closure (VAC)

Insurance

Our staff files health insurance as a courtesy. We ask patients to provide current and accurate information regarding insurance coverage. We are participating providers for Medicare, Medicaid and some HMOs and PPOs. All co-payments are expected at the time of service. Any outstanding balance that remains after payment from the insurance company is due within 30 days. We accept cash and checks. Visit our insurance page to view our list of accepted insurance plans.

Please call your pharmacy and ask them to contact our office for prescription refills.

What do I do in case of an emergency?

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

If a non-life-threatening emergency occurs outside normal office hours, please call our office at 919-784-7110. A surgeon is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
